Receipts and Outlays of the US Government Fiscal Year 2009 (through June)

Receipts and Outlays of the US Government Fiscal Year 2009 (through June)

The Monthly Treasury Statement of Receipts and Outlays of the United States Government is prepared by the Financial Management Service, Department of the Treasury. For the first nine months of fiscal year 2009, outlays have averaged approximately $316 billion per month, while receipts have averaged approximately $176 billion per month for an average deficit of $140 billion per month.

A particularly troubling aspect of this chart is that receipts did not exceed outlays in April of this year. April is typically the month of highest receipts because individual taxpayers file their tax returns and pay their remaining tax liabilities for the preceding calendar year in April. And self-employed individuals pay their first quarter estimated tax payments in April, also. Receipts in April 2008 totaled $403 billion (the single highest month on record) whereas receipts in April 2009 totaled $266 billion, a decline of 34% in tax receipts. Since 1981, there has only been one other year (1986) in which Outlays exceeded Receipts during April.

WOW…. we are drowning ourselves in RED INK, aka: American Blood Money….. who is going to pay for all this spending…??? glad I’m old, but my children and grandchildren will suffer under our governments greed…. what this country needs is a ONE TAX SYSTEM… let’s say, a Sales Tax of 25% on everything we buy, for everyone…. NO exceptions… it’s a FAIR TAX… there should be NO taxes on food or clothing or basic transportation… after that, everything is taxed at the 25%, and we never seen another tax…. NO taxes on gas, cigarettes, NOTHING…. NO real estate taxes… NO state taxes… NONE….. let the Fed’s and the States determine what per cent of the 25% Sales Tax they get, and THAT’S IT…. let all government bodies, Feds, State & Local fight between themselves, and the live within a BUDGET LIKE ALL AMERICAN HAVE TO DO…

    VOTE 3rd PARTY in 2010……

Well, for the past 98 years them ther turnips in D. C. ain’t been payin’ no attention to the inflows and outflows of them ther tax dollars….it’s been all bout spend…spend and spend. Dang! half those turnips couldn’t pour p^ss out of a boot with the instructions on the heel and the other half are all ways crying fake tears, packin’ fudge, wearin’ Betty’s Vibrating Strap-On’s and stirring bloomer puddin’ with limp cigars.

From 1776 to 1910 the National Debt total only $2.6 billion and tat wus without a dang income tax and from 1910 to 2008 it shot up to over $10.4 TRILLION and tat wus with every kind of tax them ther turnips could shove up the American taxpayers @ss.

Now ….we the people have a person in tat big white house tat wants to put a chicken in every pot and a health card in everyone’s hand. Only problem…tat printer tat has been printin’ all tis money is runnin’ out of ink.

People need to read Michael Hodges “Grandfather Economic Report series” and put on their marchin’ shoes cause all tis sh!! needs to stop.

We need spending, but we need to CUT pork. You cannot force elderly and children from life in the USA. But we have to make congress realize that they are as responsible as we are4 for the debt. We need to raise taxes for awhile to get out of debt. This is not complicated. It can be done carefully and responsibly. We need to spend money on a worker stimulus to get people back in the income and tax mode. We need to bring some jobs back to the USA. We need to give our young graduates a job here at home. Many thin g need to be done but we first must convince the selfish congress, who gets money from cooperations and lobbies, that we NEED to fix the USA. If we do not do that, we will be busted in 3 years. The President needs help, he cannot do it alone. I would much rather have him trying to fix things than another bush denying these problems exist. We must all help, ignoring and denying will do nothing but make it worse.

How about having a donation booth for the US Government at every movie theater?
