We need leaders in Washington who are not afraid to cut spending and follow the Constitution. Both parties have been afraid to do this. As I stood the legal distance from the voting polls to give out literature back then, I couldn’t believe the imbecile comments I heard….”I’m voting for Clinton, he’s young and good looking.” I remember thinking…it’s a good thing we didn’t have TV or the internet when Abraham Lincoln ran for office, he might have lost based solely on his looks and what would have happened to the country back then?

People in this country really need to get a grip on what and who they are voting for. Some are so immersed in voting this party or that. I’m registered for one of the parties, but ONLY so that I could vote in the primaries in my state. I have always evaluated each person running and always split my ticket and voted for the person who best represented what was good and just. We need more choices in parties, we need term limits for ALL offices, we need to eliminate the electoral college and base elections on popular vote, we need to go back to paper ballots that are not so easily rigged as computerized voting machines, and we need to get rid of the powers of the Federal Reserve and the IRS, we need to sever the ties between big pharma and the FDA….all of which have contributed to the corruption of our leaders and the demise of democracy and our freedoms.

As I read about how much control the government WILL wield over us when national health care is passed despite our protests…..even to the point of invading our homes and refrigerators to tell us what we can eat (as they are in England)………all I could think of, was….how I wish Ross Perot had been elected in 1992 and 1996….and can we find another Perot-like candidate again? Again, thanks for trying back then.

Here is a reason why it’s going to get much worse unless we can get our economists and political leaders and corporate executives to wake up and realize what they are doing to our children and possibly even ourselves
