Other spending includes dental services, other professional services, home healthcare, durable medical products, over-the-counter medicines and sundries, public health activities, research and construction.
Over the past five years, hospital care has been the largest spending category, representing about 30 percent of annual healthcare expenditures.

That’s not surprising! If you don’t have insurance or you have crummy insurance, you only seek health care when it’s an emergency.

I have always felt that if our elected officials of which have been way to many years or terms in office, (2 terms is enough) If they get health care provided and we pay their wages well then all should have the same health care. I have a son who has over 40% of his wages taken for child support but can not get health care because he does not have custody of the kids. His job has no health care available. This is where I hope the new administration really thinks about changing this. If a Senator or Rep. from a state gets health care, then we all should!!
